Can Mida convert forms etc from a Delphi 7 project?
-
hi
yes, of course.
-
I read on the order page that the licence is related to the PC ( n. 1 Operating System ) where Mida is installed.
My (main) Delphi7 app is running in a virtual XP machine although the pc itself runs Windows 7 - as does Delphi XE2 and my other delphi applications I intend to migrate to firemonkey.
1. Does the one licence cover both the actual and virtual pc - both on the same physical PC
2. Does the one licence cover when I upgrade my pc (or this one dies)
-
1)
Mida binds to the machine / OS where it is installed, but there are some bonus in case you wanted to move a new pc/os.
If you intend natural to change PC, you can to reinstall Mida on the news PC automatically, without requiring new abilitation !
If every day, re-create a virtual machine from scratch, you will need to install Mida, in a more stable situation and to use Mida from share directory
2)
You need a second license to install Mida in two different VM or 1 VM + 1 Original OS, at very low price, you can contact our commercial to info@midaconverter.com
( or use one Mida from share directory )

Thanks, a shared folder will work nicely for me. Once migrated to Firemonkey I should no longer need the VM.
I sent an email to info@midaconverter.com several days ago asking how I can pay via paypal (and how much in $US) but have yet to receive a reply
